Vojenský opravárenský podnik 025 Nový Jičín, s.p. was founded in 1946 as a repair service of military trophy machines from World War Two. Since this time, the company has repaired about 4600 pieces of T-34, T-54, T-55 tanks and since 1983 the company has started with repairs of T-72 tanks. Besides repairs of the tanks the company has been upgrading of T-54, T-55 and T-72 tanks. These experience has largerly contributed to the successful realization of T-72 M4 CZ tank for the Czech Armed Forces, 30 pcs of which has been manufactured in the company so far and the delivery of which, including 3 pcs. of a T-72 M4 CZ-W commander version was finished in the beginning of 2006. The company developed and produced a number of special vehicles both track and wheel vehicles on TATRA 815 chassis that have been used in the army and civil sphere as well. Nowadays, the Chemical decontamination vehicle ACHR-90M is the best-known special vehicle in this field. The Czech Chemical Brigade has been using this vehicle during its foreign missions for personal, technique, roads, terrain and buildings decontamination. ACHR-90M is used by the Czech Integrated Rescue System Forces. Since 2004, the company has expanded its activity and service into repairs and revisions of artillery systems and small arms. Further development of the company will be largely connected with the production of PANDUR II 8x8 wheeled armoured fighting vehicles for the Czech Armed Forces.

Company uses its long-standing knowledge and experience in the civil production sector as well. The main part of civil production covers: welding of structures, their machining and assembly into final products such as traffic, constructional, handling and agricultural facilities.
Continual investment into advanced machine holding, production workshops, as well as the experience of our businessmen, technicians, workers and very good relations with our customers are very good conditions for further development of co-operative production development.

In 2008, the company had turnover in the amount of 1billions CZK and was profitable. Currently, there are 700 employees in the company.

The important tool for company management consists in the implementation of certified system for quality control (corresponding to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2001 and AQAP 2110) which is closely connected with the company information system. The company has been also awarded the Certification for welding quality system (ČSN EN ISO 3834-2:2006) and the Certification for repairing of TATRA products. Very good quality of metallurgy and active marketing make the company an interesting partner for foreign companies.

International infrastructure and nearby international airport enhance company international business/co-operation. VOP 025 is situated in the middle of a large industrial region with a lot of companies being able and ready to co-operate.
